Elisa has been employed by Will County for over 10 years. A graduate of Joliet West and worked in the administrative office field since graduation. She was looking not only for something more fulfilling, but a place within the County that she can truly give back to the community. She decided to move to a position with more personal interaction.
Based on her knowledge of her Uncles experience as a Marine Vietnam Veteran she applied two years ago to work with the Will County Veterans Assistance Commission. Born and raised in Joliet, she found that her position here at the WCVAC allows her to serve the community that she loves. She feels that working with the veterans she comes in contact with every day have allowed her to show her thanks for their service by giving the best of her abilities back to them in return. Elisa is here to assist them with anything they need. She take pride in her abilities, and go about the day with a smile on her face. Working with the different veterans and their issues has provided her with the meaningful experience she was looking for. As an example she coordinated the Christmas Giving Program for Veterans.
Elisa speaks Spanish fluently and is a member of Saint Mary’s Nativity Church. Among her hobbies are museums, history and arts/crafts.
Elisa is always ready to answer any questions or resolve any concerns that the veterans may have. She is always looking forward to the future, and for better ways to serve our veterans and their family’s needs.
